Naming

From family-run to mission-driven.

With our friends at Agency Pure, we followed the instinct of our client, Wes Palmisano, to create a compelling brand for his eponymous construction company.

Wes looked to the future and came to his own conclusion. Founded by Warren Sr. in 1950, Palmisano of New Orleans stands for something bigger than any one employee or family. That takes vision. That takes guts.

The name Impetus captures Palmisano’s collective spirit as it scales with purpose to become an American force. A force for doing things the Impetus way.

Impetus: (n) a driving force; a stimulus; the momentum of a moving body; something that incites.

To quote:

For over a century, the modern construction industry has been the backbone of American success. With foundations built of concrete and steel, legacies built on gypsum and sawdust, it goes without saying that this industry literally built the American dream.

But the industry is stuck. It’s being held back by outdated processes and is missing out on the opportunity to improve the construction experience for the next generation.

That’s why we’re here.

At Impetus, our vision for a better world has made us the Southeast’s newest leader in construction. Our foundation is built on a proven heritage of quality, service and contribution.

And even though our roots go back nearly 70 years, we’re just getting started.
